The University AZS sports club is the biggest sports club in Lubusz Voivodeship. It has nearly 700 active students who take advantage of the wide offer of sports activities. There is something for everybody.  At present the club has 19 sections: aqua-aerobics, boccia (for disabled persons), bridge, capoeira, fitness, futsal, horse riding, ju-jitsu, traditional karate, laido, handball, volleyball, swimming, swimming (SON), fitness gym, table tennis, table tennis (SON), uni-hockey, mountain climbing. Students can also take part in various additional sports and leisure activities. Such a broad offer is possible thanks to the University’s extensive sports facilities, including the athletics stadium, tennis courts, gyms, sports grounds and halls.


The University AZS UZ sports club boasts medal winners in Polish, European and World Championships as well as in Olympic and Paralympic Games. The AZS of the University of Zielona Góra also competes in team sports. In the academic year 2019/2020 bridge and handball teams will compete in the first league, whereas volleyball, futsal and table tennis teams – in the second league. The Club also initiates and organizes numerous projects addressed to the students and teachers of the University, as well as to all inhabitants of Zielona Góra, such as Change Yourself Actively, Cooper Test For Everyone, Active Zielona Góra, The Polish Championship in Integrated Boccia.
