Student Festival – Bachanalia
There is more to studying than learning. Hence students frequently visit student clubs or pubs after classes. Our city is also known as the Zielona Góra Cabaret Basin. In the last decade of the previous century (sounds strange, doesn’t it?) many new student cabaret troupes sprang up. Many of them have survived to this day, others have evolved.
Students celebrate their annual festival in May. They receive the keys to the city from the Mayor and for three days Zielona Góra belongs to the University students. During the festival students take part in various cultural, entertainment and sports events. Every night there are concerts of well-known Polish pop-stars.
