The authorities of the University of Zielona Góra

On September 1, 2020, the 4-year term of office of the new  authorities, i.e. the  Rector and Deputy Rectors,  of the University of Zielona Góra began. In the election held on June 10, 2020, conducted remotely for the first time in the history of the University, Prof. Wojciech Strzyżewski was elected rector for the term 2020/2024.

According to the new Law on Higher Education and Science, the deputy rectors are not elected by the Electoral College, as it was before, but they are indicated by the Rector. According to the Statutes of the University of Zielona Góra the candidates for deputy rectors must be approved by the University Senate. Professor W. Strzyżewski announced that the duties of deputy rectors of the University of Zielona Góra in this term of office will be performed by:
